Svetlana was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1984 and over the years her practice has included criminal and family law, as well as Wills, Estates, and Real Estate. She has been a panel member for the Ministry of the Attorney General for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, the Public Guardian and Trustee, and the Family Responsibility Office.
She is a member in good standing of the Middlesex Law Association, the Middlesex Family Lawyers Association, and the Canadian Bar Association and is a founding member of the Collaborative Lawyers of London and Middlesex. Svetlana practises law in both English and French and is also a member of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario.
Prior to studying law, Svetlana taught classes and lectured at Western University, Wilfrid Laurier (Simcoe Campus) and King’s University College. She is also trained in mediation.
Svetlana is an active volunteer who has sat on the boards of the Canadian Friends Service Committee (Quakers), the London Public Library, Carrefour des femmes du Sud-Ouest de l’Ontario, Women Immigrants of London, Rotary Club of London East and Western Day Care. For two terms she sat on the Council of the Ontario Bar Association as a representative for the South West region.
